This page describes how HalfLifeDB handles basic analytics data, cookies, and advertising code. It is intended as a straightforward summary and does not constitute legal advice.

Analytics

HalfLifeDB uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which pages are visited and which features are used. These tools typically collect information such as browser type, approximate location, device type, and referring pages. IP addresses may be processed as part of this workflow.

Analytics data is used to monitor traffic, improve usability, and detect technical issues. It is not used to identify individual users in normal operation.

Privacy choices

HalfLifeDB initializes Google consent signals with advertising storage, analytics storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization denied. In regions where consent is required, a Google-certified consent management platform can update those signals only after a visitor records a choice.

You can decline optional purposes in the consent message when it appears. You can also clear this site's cookies in your browser to reset stored choices. Browser-level cookie blocking and privacy controls may limit Google services independently of the site's consent message.

Advertising

HalfLifeDB uses Google AdSense on selected Learning Center articles. Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses, or use similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, limit frequency, and select advertising where permitted.

Cookies and local storage

The calculator itself does not need cookies or local storage. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may use first-party or third-party cookies and similar storage as part of their integrations. Browser controls and any consent message shown on the site can be used to manage available choices.

Data you submit

If you contact the maintainer by email, any information you send will be used only to respond to or act on your message and will not be shared with unrelated third parties except where required by law.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
